'Tis the season for entertaining! Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just serving punch, glass charms are a great way to keep the age old "Is this my drink?" from happening over and over again. Making wine charms is a really easy process. Wanna learn how? Well, I'm here to help!
Supplies you will need:
1 1/4 round punch
Christmas ornament hooks
punch for small holes
round object (mine is a piece of dowel rod)
scissors
wine charm printable printed on card stock
Start by punching out your numbers to create the charm base. There's enough on the printable below to make two sets of 9 charms.Punch a small hole in the top of the charm base, so you have a spot to thread through the wire.
Coat the entire charm base with Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, all the way to the edges and around the wire hole. Set aside to dry for 3-4 hours.
Once it's dry, flip it over and give the backside another coat. Once the back is coated, set aside to dry again for 3-4 hours.
You can use any thin wire, or to use a Christmas ornament hanger, straighten it out with a pair of jewelry pliers.
Wrap it around the dowel rod (or other round base) to create the loop.
Using the ornament hangers means that it is still flexible, so you can continue to shape it with your fingers.
To make the connecting loops, use the thin end of the pliers and create a small hook on one end. For the other end, turn the hook 90 degrees, so that they will hook together.
The end loops will go together to complete the circle.
If it gets a little misshapen, then just correct it with your fingers.
Slide the dry charms onto the wire hoops and they're done.
