Parisian Perfume Pail

Hi everyone, here's wishing you all a fabulous Monday.  I am so happy to be doing a little tutorial for Karen here at The Graphics Fairy.  Today we have a little bit of frou frou diy, sometimes you need a little pink in your life...but of course as with all of my projects you can put your own spin on it and make it your own.  So let's put a little ooooo la la in your day with this Parisian Perfume Pail

Let's get our supplies out...first things first...you will need this gorgeous  vintage french perfume label
then a clean can (size of your choice) some trim, ribbon, fabric (in this case I used rose ribbon), a pretty corner punch, grommets (again not needed but a nice touch) scissors, embellishments and a hot glue gun.

Simply take your tin and glue your base fabric or ribbon around the entire area, then take your trim and do the same on the top and the bottom. You can line the inside or spray paint it if you like...your choice.

Take your printed graphic and trim it nicely, then punch the sides with your favorite Fiskars Punch. (yes...my punch is use to HIGH traffic : )

The rest is even easier.  Just punch a hole on either side of the label and thread your ribbon through and connect it around the tin.

Now it is time to add your special little touches.  I simply made little organza ribbon bows, attached them to the sides of the label and added pretty little rose buds and viola...

Looking pretty from all sides...

Now all that is left is to fill it...I added a little filler to the inside of the tin and then put my creams in it to store in the bathroom.

I think next time it will be kitchen themed for me...how about you? It works on any size can.  Use this method for creating awesome pencil holders...etc...set your imagination loose and I know whatever you come up with Karen will have the PERFECT graphic for you!

Here's wishing you all a picture perfect day.  I am so honored to have been able to share with you today.  A big thank you to everyone.  Hope to see you over at The Cottage Market some time.
(Hugs)

  7. Andrea,

Lovely project!! I want to purchase the corner punch you have shown, do you know the name and the manufacturer? I THINK it is Fiskars, but I cannot locate it.

    Thanks,

    1. Maureen, Yes, it is Fiskars. I just linked it in the post above, just under the photo of the punch.
