Dove Conditioner Review & $1,000 Spafinder GC Giveaway

One of my "can't live with out" beauty products is a good quality conditioner.  Not only is my hair long, but it's super thick, naturally curly, dry, and prone to frizziness. Back when I was in high school, in one of my science classes, the teacher had us all examine our hair under a microscope. We ended up comparing hair strands to see who's was the thickest and mine won hands down.

When Dove sent me a bottle of Nourishing Oil Care Daily Treatment Conditioner, I was eager to try it out. Dove advanced conditioners provide nourishment to repair dry and rough hair.

The first thing that I noticed when I opened the bottle was the divine scent they used! It smells like a very upscale salon quality product.

The next thing that caught my attention was that it's striped! This is a dual phase treatment. The gold stripe contains weightless Nutri-Oils, that deeply nourish without feeling greasy. The white stripe contains conditioners that seal cuticles and help to smooth those frizzies. It's like a twofer!

Dove advanced conditioners leave hair touchably soft and smooth. I like that fact that it conditioned and moisturized my hair, but it was lightweight enough that my natural curl could... well ... still be curly! It didn't weigh it down at all, as you can see by this photo of the back of my hair.

Summer weather can be especially hard on hair, leaving it dry and rough. Here in hot, humid, sticky Maryland, I have to fight hard to keep the frizzies at bay. Sometimes it's so bad, that my bangs look like little horns. Fairies are supposed to have wings, not horns! Not a pretty look!

 I took these photos after using the Dove Nourishing Care Daily Treatment Conditioner. Later that evening, I attended a Wedding with my husband. It was a typical hot Summer evening in the City. The church was air conditioned thankfully,  but we had to walk several blocks to the reception, and it even rained a bit as we approached the reception hall. My hair actually held up the entire night, I even danced to a few songs and guess what? No horns... no frizz.  Success!  At the end of the night one of the bridesmaids even approached me to tell me how pretty my hair was.  It looks like I found a new favorite conditioner!
