Time for a beautiful mantel

IMG_8645 I’ve spent all week in the big, beautiful state of Texas – what a fun place to be! During my stay with a blogging friend, I instantly fell in love with her mantel – it was full of Graphics Fairy images…. what’s not to love? I just knew that you would love it as much as I do.
IMG_8650 Lisa, from The Pennington Point, took all sorts of objects and embellished them with clock images, printed onto plain cardstock. How genius! From big to small, just sitting out or under a wire cloche, the entire collection looks amazing.
IMG_8653Like these little ones, just taped to old wooden blocks – can it get easier than that?
IMG_8659 Besides clock prints, she also used an assortment of things found outside – like twigs and rocks.
IMG_8662 I would have never thought to fill up a cloche with plain rocks – these are just garden variety, not the fancy designer kind sold in a mesh bag.
IMG_8658 So next time you get an itch to decorate your mantel or another surface, just pick a theme, print it out and fill in the rest!
See ya next week for another DIY idea. In the mean time, hop on over to see my on my blog at The Shabby Creek Cottage.
