Gina and I are at Snap Conference this week, so no time to post a project or printable this week. Instead I thought I would share a few photos of my Dining Room with you, this is my favorite room in my house!
The Antique print hanging on the wall, used to hang in my Grandparents house, it's supposed to be Cinderella, but many people have thought it was a painting of me, including my own kids when they were little!
A few things that I've picked up over the years, I love old Clocks, and Concrete Garden Statues and I adore Italian Tole pieces too!
The Chandelier and Chairs are new. The China Cabinet is another family piece and I purchased the carved wooden Dining Table for just $60!!
Just a few old books from my collection, my friends Amy and Lisa set the table, didn't they do a lovely job?!
The beautiful gold Pier Mirror is another piece from my Grandparents home. I love how grand it is! The Angel Wing is new, but it has a great look to it. I have Angel Wings all over my house actually and I collect Antique Religious art as well. I hope you enjoyed touring my Dining Room today!

What a beautiful room, full of such gorgeous treasures.No wonder it is your favourite room in the house.
ReplyDeleteKaren, I don't comment on blog posts too often, but I just had to let you know that your dining room is a refreshing change of pace. I love the real antiques rather than the ever-present "new" antiques. What wonderful pictures and what a wonderful room. We used to have our house filled with antiques as well and we loved it!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to see your home! I love all your graphics but thanks for sharing a bit of yourself with us too! That angel wing is fantastic! i collect religious art too and find it so special!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Lorraine
How elegant, Karen! Love that table and what a great price. I wonder if your grandparents were drawn to that print because it reminded them of you.
ReplyDeleteYour room is so beautiful and elegant...love all your beautiful accessories to give it such a beautiful and old world feel...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Karen! Have fun at SNAP
ReplyDeleteLove the room!
ReplyDeleteOh Karen, What a beautiful room so "old world" and that rich color on the wall gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour room is stunning! I love the table set with the stack of books...love that angel wing on the floor and love the Pier Mirror. I've got two, very similar mirrors but mine are reproductions and came from a time when my husband and I imported furniture. Mine are wood tone, a dark color that I like but I like your gold better. How special to have a piece like that from your Grandparents.

LOVE IT! The table legs are amazing, the curved armed chairs just lovely, I thought that was a painting of you the minute I saw it! The mirror is amazing and the chocolate walls are so intimate for a lovely evening dinner. Wonderful taste, but I wouldn't have expected any less from you!!! Thanks for sharing :-}

I can see why this is your favorite room; it's stunning! I love everything about it, but my eye keeps being drawn to that gorgeous chandelier. I bet this room just glows at night and is the perfect setting for elegant intimate dinners. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing it with us. (I hope we get to see more of your interesting home soon.)

This is totally my style, Karen. Love what you've done! I have dark antiques, deep cranberry walls and white french doors and molding. I love how you've mixed white accessories with the dark furniture. I'm working on bringing more white into my settings.
