Well, well, well, how amazing is this?!!! This masterpiece of a French Typography Dresser is the creation of Kristy from 4 The Love of Wood !!
It's absolute perfection, don't you think?!! Kristy used the Pretty French Label image for this project. After transferring the image onto the dresser she used Sharpie Paint Markers to make the design permanent. I've got a Tutorial HERE that shows you how to make your images big so that you can transfer them onto Furniture.
Make sure you visit Kristy's swoon worthy blog to see lots more gorgeous projects. And if you are lucky enough to live in Vancouver, you can snap a few of her pieces up, including this beauty!

Beautiful! Some people are so creative. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThis really is beautiful - what a great job she did!
ReplyDeleteShe is definately one of the best...her pieces are all beautiful! And without your graphics...what would we do?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that is fantastic, Karen! She used the perfect image and sizing of it for this dresser! I just love it!

Beyond stunning!
ReplyDeleteKaren she did an AMAZING job on this!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I do have just one question though and at the risk of sounding stupid - how do you burnish the printed image onto the surface of the wood. You appear to just rub with a pencil and get the image. When I tried, no trace came off my print- out onto my wooden object. Do you have to apply some kind of product to the paper to make the ink lift off? I'd appreciate any help!
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen for the feature and thank you to all who have left these kind comments. Regarding Decca's question: I do not use a product to get the transfer to come off the paper. It seems the method I use does not work for others. I believe it has something to do with the way the ink is absorbed by the paper I use. Which is STAPLES brand 96 bright and 24lbs. Hope this helps some.
